Understanding personal care assistance
A Helping Hand with Daily Activities
Personal care assistance focuses on routine, hands-on support with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and moving safely. In a home health setting, these services are typically provided by a home health aide under appropriate clinical supervision and as part of an authorized plan of care.
Our goal is to help patients feel respected and supported while they receive care at home. The type and frequency of assistance depend on individual needs, eligibility, and the care plan.
- Support bathing, grooming, and personal hygiene
- Assist with dressing and everyday routines
- Help with safe movement and positioning as directed
- Coordinate assistance with the skilled home health team
